You know, sex actually is exercise (when done correctly) and has lots of health benefits, when done in a loving relationship. Think of it as something you can add to your regular training regimen, to spice things up a bit.
Food is the most widely abused anti-anxiety drug in America, and exercise is the...

Geeking out on Lyle McDonald's articles
He’s reminding me to not worship at the altar of HIIT.
Not that I’m a big fan of cardio in general but I did get the HIIT fever for a bit.
So hungry today
As I’ve settled into the routine of weight training Monday thru Thursday (alternating upper body and lower body) by Friday my appetite is much more demanding, and I’m way more tired. These muscles, they speak to me.

jealous. I definitely want one, not because I wanna track the calories I burned but I like how I can quantify my sleep and count the steps I take.
I think it’ll be good to have for hiking, but I’m a little concerned that with the number of calories burned right on my waistband, I’ll let my eating...

Found out I'm getting a FitBit as a gift
Which is cool, but kind of ironic, since it seems like as soon as I stopped giving a damn about calories burned, I end up being given something designed specifically to track calories burned :P
Do any of you have a FitBit? Like it? Hate it? Useful?

Amen. I have to try and remember these things dont happen overnight. Been bloated and discouraged this week.
Yeah, the only way I stay motivated is by noticing the tiniest things. So tiny that sometimes I wonder if it’s placebo and I’m just creating a mirage. I’ve been eating smarter and...
Feeling all like, GRRR during my Pendlay rows

Lucky to be having my ass groped and adored by someone I like? Yes :)
But the jiggle factor reduction is pure work - luck gets NO CREDIT for my Romanian deadlifts and Bulgarian split squats and hill sprints and calorie/protein counting over the past 2+ months! haha :P

Progress: The booty jiggle factor
I am happy to report that my boyfriend was jiggling my butt the other night and we observed that now, only the butt cheeks jiggle and not the thighs.
Oh, the small victories of body recomposition <3

I run drills with my son in the summer, prior to soccer season, and it’s brutal. You go, girl!
You’re a soccer mom who actually plays soccer. I dig that <3

It goes like this, a client looking to lead a healthier life hires me, a nutritionist, to help him improve his diet. I analyze what he’s been eating, factor in his food preferences, and together we create an eating plan that fits his lifestyle and goals.
Soon after, he’s noticeably leaner and…

And actually trying to stay in control. It was fun though. I felt like an athlete training…which technically I am I guess, since I’m improving my skills in a sport I play (badly). I ran/jogged about a half mile. It was muddy and I totally wiped out at one point. When I got back I practiced juggling the ball for a few minutes, and now it’s time to wash the mud off, dry my...

Dehydrator, y u take so long??
I tried a soggy slice and so far so good. Oddly, the taste is kind of like cheese, even though there is no cheese to be found. I seasoned with salt, freshly cracked pepper, and a dusting of garlic powder. Because everything’s better with garlic.

Im on a week cycle of creatine 2 days in and I’ve gained 7 fucking pounds and I look all soft. No me gusta.
Yep, honestly I’m seeing gradual + steady results just weight training, getting enough protein, and keeping my average calories at or just below maintenance (consistency has been key). And it seems...
goldtrack replied to your post: Taking my multivitamin, calcium and fish oil
what multivitamin do you take? I need to start taking one and have no idea where to start.
Personally, I don’t think it really matters. I follow Lyle McDonald’s advice on this - a cheap brand is probably sufficient, but if you’re really concerned, just take a cheap multivitamin twice a day and...
mochismochi replied to your post: Taking my multivitamin, calcium and fish oil
Is that all you take? Do you ever cycle with creatine or take cla?
Yep, that is all. I tried creatine once for a few days and man, did I get bloated and I HATE being bloated so I was like, screw this. My boyfriend used creatine for a while and it made him look all puffy and even though his muscle were big they looked...

illusipon replied to your post: Seeing some more ab definition over the past few days
I’ve noticed the same thing, I don’t do any direct ab work either. I figure if I’m lifting properly then I’m using my core anyway.
Eggsactly.
bentsaber replied to your post: Seeing some more ab definition over the past few days
six packs are made in the kitchen not the gym…. I’m the proof… I work abs like crazy, no six pack, because I’m a bacon eating, chicken wing eating, beer drinking MoFo…. did I just use MoFo?!? ah well….
Very true! That’s why I’m surprised to see even some new definition when I’m still eating...
Seeing some more ab definition over the past few...
I’m seeing those “sidelines” —those vertical lines that would run along the edges of a six pack. Which is amusing, since I don’t do any direct ab work. Any work that my abs gets is secondary, via compound lifts, balancing acts (those bulgarian split squats and single leg hip thrusts) and hill sprinting. Body recomposition FTW.
I love how when Iron Maiden goes on tour you know...
Because we all reblog each other amidst posts about weight lifting, hahaha :)
