Nope, I just go by what it looks like. It’s really hard to tell by measurements because measurements don’t distinguish between lumpy fat and firm muscle, ya know? Plus my hips are already pretty big and that is not something you can change much (and I like my big ass hips anyway).
Start off with just the 45 lb bar and focus on form like a mofo! Form makes all the difference. Read Starting Strength :)
Now I wear 7/8. My favorite jeans are Ariya brand (i.e. Black girl booty flattering, for lack of PC language). The snakeskin ones in my last pic are Mudd though. Built in spandex is a very good thing.
